Welcome to Switzerland's former "thoughest prison" which has now turned into a place of freedom, creativity, social atmosphere and above all into a place where travellers meet locals and experience a stay in a thriving community. Welcome to Bogentrakt.
We run a hostel with the aim of connecting people from all ages, cultures and different backgrounds. With your stay at Bogentrakt you will experience Chur, the capital of the canton Graubünden, the way locals do every day.
A down to earth, culturally vibrant community in a small town surrounded by mountains and plenty of nature to discover. The former prison cell block has been newly renovated and only the design details will remind you of the building’s past. We offer dorms with capsule-like beds but also a larger number of private rooms.
